Just finished all 7 of the Harry Potter books. Had never been interested in reading them before fearing they’d be a bit to kid oriented to keep my attention. But then I finally realized that things that are kid oriented happen to be the only things that keep my attention.

I’ll give them a 2 thumbs up. I was surely hooked after the 3rd one, and it looks like now that I’m finished I can resume things like paying attention to my family once again. This is why I don’t read … its dangerous.

Me: I’ve been thinking that its about time we buy a gun, you know for household protection and such..
Rach: What? How much is that gonna cost!?
Me: Oh, you can get a gun for pretty cheap these days. Probably around $300.
Rach: No.
Me: What? Why?
Rach: That could be a new pair of shoes! Pointy ones even!
Me: …
Rach: I only said pointy ones so you know we could still use them as a weapon in case anyone ever did break in.

Rach: Hey, I’m trying to set up another Twitter account and then use the feed to import to our Tumblr family blog but it doesn’t work.
Me: What? Why would you want a Twitter feed posting to Tumblr.
Me: Why not just post directly to Tumblr?
Rach: Because its easier for me to post to Twitter when I’m driving.
